When I picked up this book, the title alone made me pause — 31 reasons? At first, I thought that sounded excessive, maybe even overwhelming. How could there really be that many obstacles to receiving a financial harvest? But as I read, I quickly realized each reason carried weight and wisdom.
Dr. Mike Murdock has a way of breaking down truths with piercing simplicity. And while all 31 reasons are important, there were a few that truly struck me, broke limiting mindsets, and reshaped my perspective on faith, finances, and God’s principles of increase.
One moment that stood out was Reason #16. It shattered a guilt I didn’t even know I carried — the feeling that expecting God’s reward for faithfulness was somehow “unrighteous.” But Hebrews 11:6 makes it clear: God wants to be believed. His greatest pleasure is to be trusted; His greatest pain is to be doubted. That truth alone freed me.

- A Seed Is a Tiny Beginning With a Huge Future — A seed is anything that can become more — love, time, patience, money, kindness, prayers, and thankfulness. You are never without a seed.
- Acknowledge the Sovereignty of God — The spirit of self-sufficiency is a deadly trap. Pride blinds us to the reality that the earth is the Lord’s. True fruitfulness comes when we trust Him, not our own strength.

- Remain Thankful — Gratitude secures God’s blessing and keeps us grounded. Even in trials, thanksgiving guards our peace and provokes God’s continued mercy.

This book challenged me to think differently about seeds, patience, consistency, and faith. Most of all, it reminded me that God delights in being believed and trusted.
This is one of those books I’ve added to my “to reread” archive — because every page carries timeless wisdom.
